The Faculty of Business and Law fosters excellence in teaching, research and consultancy services.

It is one of three faculties at Victoria University - one of Australia's most innovative and rapidly growing universities. VU has the greatest international mix of any Australian university, so students are bound to feel at home, wherever they are from. As well, independent research has pinpointed our teaching staff as the most friendly and caring in Australia.

The Faculty offers more than 150 courses at our seven teaching schools, which are backed by the high-calibre work of our 3 specialised research centres

Industry alliances
Our Faculty is highly responsive to industry, ensuring our students leave with the skills - as well as academic knowledge - to get them ahead in the workforce.

Our career-centred approach is demonstrated in the Centre for Work Integrated Learning, which gives Faculty students the chance to work in industry and have that experience contribute to their degree. The list of current or past, participating employers is impressive, including industry leaders such as Telstra, Visy Industries and Coles Myer.

Among the awards recognising our outstanding performance is the inauguration into the Victorian Tourism Award's Hall of Fame of our School of Hospitality, Tourism and Marketing.

International alliances
Our networks stretch across the world through our partners, including Sunway College (Malaysia), Northern Jiatong University (China) and Singapore Institute of Commerce (Singapore). Offshore courses are available through 10 universities, colleges and educational centres in six Asian countries. This program allows international students to gain Australian degrees without leaving home.

In addition, we are actively involved in exchange programs with more than 60 universities overseas, including Cambridge University, Sapporo University (Japan), and the Max-Plank-Institut (Austria).
