Professor David Denton
Course director
Graduate Diploma in Commercial Arbitration
Professor Denton, SC, practises regularly in the commercial trial divisions of the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Courts in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. He conducts appeals in the Full Court of the Federal Court, the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia. He has a keen interest in company law and shareholder disputes and has appeared in many leading cases in these areas. He is a certified arbitrator and mediator. |

Professor Peter Zablud
Director of Notarial Studies, assessor
Notarial Practice/Theory, Graduate Diploma in Notarial Practice
Professor Peter Zablud has been a notary since 1990 and provides notarial services
for many of Australia's largest and most significant public companies.
Professor Zablud
is a Fellow and councillor of the Society of Notaries of Victoria, and was president
from 2003 to 2005. He was the first Australian individual member of the International
Union of Latin Notaries. A highly regarded author, speaker and teacher,
Professor Zablud
has presented notarial practice courses and master classes throughout Australia and
New Zealand. He has written extensively about notarial practice and is the author of
A Notary's Forms and Precedents (2002) and Principles of Notarial Practice (2005). |

Professor Phillip Hamilton
Associate director, Notarial Studies
Graduate Diploma in Notarial Practice
Professor Hamilton has been a notary since 1983, is a past president of the Society
of Notaries of Victoria and will soon be president-elect for 2006. He has an extensive
notarial practice, and because he is fluent in Spanish and French, regularly
prepares documents as a scrivener in those languages and also in Portuguese.
He is the author of The Small Business Handbook and many articles on notarial
practice and other areas of law. Professor Hamilton is an associate member of the
Union Internacional del Notariado Latino and the Honorary Consul for the République
du Mali for Eastern Australia. He is a qualified mediator. |

Dr Bruno Zeller
Assessor, private international law/conflict of law module,
Graduate Diploma in Notarial Practice
Dr Zeller is a senior lecturer in law at Victoria University. His teaching subjects
include marketing law, commercial law, consumer protection, trade practices law and
contract law. He has also worked in legal education. A special interest is preparing
students for international mooting competitions. Dr Zeller's major research interests
are international commecial law and comparative law. He is a member of the Australian
Institute for Commercial arbitration. |

Ms Rebecca Leshinsky
Course presenter, Bodies Corporate Law
Rebecca Leshinsky has been a Victorian barrister since 1999 and practices in the
areas of property law, town planning law, bodies corporate law and alternative
dispute resolution. Rebecca holds a Master of Laws degree and is the author of
the loose-leaf legal service The ABC of Victorian Bodies Corporate (Hybrid Publishers)
and is involved (with Rowan Ingpen) in updating the loose-leaf service Subdivisions
with the Lot (Hybrid Publishers) by Simon Libbis. As an advocate, Rebecca appears
regularly in all courts and at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
In possession of excellent communication and negotiation skills, Rebecca regularly
represents parties in property related mediation and negotiation processes. |

Its clients include 4 government bodies, 8 public listed companies, 6 major national law firms, the Labour Organisation of the UN, and the European Central Bank. Andrew spent 10 years at a major national law firm and now provides plain language training, rewrites documents and advises on communication, cultural change programs. |
