Centre for International Corporate Governance Research

The Centre for International Corporate Governance Research aims to improve governance of the private and public sectors  through the use of independent academic research and consultancies, and the commissioning of studies. 

Its activities include:

  • publication of original research and commissioned reports;
  • teaching and supervision of graduate students;
  • commissioned studies into corporate governance compliance;
  • convening seminars and conferences;
  • training in corporate governance;
  • consulting.

CICGR staff and associates have published many books and papers on corporate governance and related issues. Topics include:

  • governance in the top 500 companies in Australia and China;
  • ethics and governance;
  • community, corporate, health sector and university governance;
  • best practice governance in the public sector;
  • small business and its contribution to APEC;
  • compliance and risk management;
  • knowledge management.

The Centre is a member of GOVNET, the Australian Government-funded network whose members collaborate on research into corporate governance. 

Associate Professor Aurthur Tatnall is acting director of the Centre.
