Respect Computer use at VU

Victoria University computing facilities (including internet access) are provided for study or research for your course.

YOU MUST NOT

• Load, use, download, or display pornographic, or other objectionable material
• Interfere with or change equipment, or authorised equipment settings
• Use chat lines, unless for study purposes
• Infringe any copyright
• Misuse email by sending "global emails"
• Communicate outside the university, except where it relates to your study
• Send, store, or display anything abusive, threatening, defamatory, or obscene

Anyone breaching any part of Victoria University's policies or procedures while using Victoria University facilities may:

• Be suspended or barred from using the facilities
• Face formal internal discrimination action
• Anyone breaching state or federal laws may face prosecution

Student Printing in Faculty Computer Laboratories

The majority of Faculty of Business and Law laboratories have a network laser printer or will print to a printer in a nearby open access laboratory. (All the laboratories on level 4 of Building K print to the printer located in the Open Access area at Room K464.)

All properly enrolled students are eligible to print. A student can print if:

1. He/she is logged into the computer under their Novell login account
2. He/she has credit on their printing account. The students Novell user object keeps a record of this.

A student can buy printing credit by presenting their student card and paying at the Victoria University library.

Printing costs come out at around $0.11 per page.
