Industry Partners
Industry partnerships are critical to the success of our students, giving them access to leading-edge technology and industry experience. Examples of this are the School's agreements with the world's four largest software companies. The School belongs to the Computer Associates
Academic Partner Program, Microsoft Academic Alliance, Oracle Academic Initiatives Program and SAP Partner Program.
The School has four main areas of partnerships:
Programs Advisory Committee
The School's Program Advisory Committee provides advice and direction to the School in regard to its curriculum, research and future initiatives. The School is fortunate to have the services of industry leaders as committee members. The members include:

Frank Zahra |
Frank is the committee chairperson and has supported the School for a number of years. He is the IT
partner for Pitcher Partners. |

Richard Hogg |
Richard is a recognised leader in the ICT sector. He is immediate past president of the Australian Computer Society and is working on a strategic plan for the Australian Computer Society (Victorian
Branch). |

Chris Bennett |
Chris brings a breadth and depth of skills to the committee. He is a senior consultant with PWC and managing director and owner of SME software company
MySF, which he founded. Before this, he was managing director and CEO of SAP Australia and New Zealand. |

Gerard Guinane |
Gerard has worked extensively in the ICT sector and is IT Director, SCA Hygiene Australasia. Before this, he was IS Manager with Carter Holt Harvey and has performed a number of roles with the SAP Australian User Group. |

Edmond D’Cruz |
Edmund has a proven track record of executive and senior management positions in the fields of information technology, education and training. He has more than 14 years of experience in business and information technology. Currently he is
Director (SAP Education) with SAP Australia & New Zealand. |

John Warren |
John has a long history of working strategically with universities and was responsible for establishing the SAP University Alliance Program in Australia. He is now the University Relations Manager with Microsoft Research Asia. He is also an RMIT University
professorial fellow. |

Sharon Brown |
Sharon has a long association with ITC education at Victoria University, particularly in the TAFE sector. She is Head of Department, IT. |

Colin Clark |
Colin is Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law at Victoria University. He has extensive experience in higher education curriculum and research. |

Con Nikakis |
Con is the Head of the School of Information Systems. Con has extensive experience in the ICT eduction sector. |

Paul Hawking |
Paul is a senior lecturer in the School and has extensive educational experience. He is responsible for managing the
University’s strategic partnership with SAP. He is a committee member of the SAP Australian User Group and is a past chairperson of the group. |

Stuart McMillan |
Stuart is a student representative on the committee and is nearing completion of his PHD. |
Academic Partner Program
Computer Associates' Academic Partner Program is designed to complement tertiary technology curriculums by providing hands-on experience with leading-edge software solutions. The introduction of Unicenter
TNG, Jasmine and other CA products into courses provides students with experience in real-world enterprise management, information management and project planning technology necessary for managing and working in today's heterogeneous IT environments.

SAP Partner Program
Our School has a strategic agreement with SAP that has enabled it to become
a leading institution in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems education
in the Asia Pacific region. ERP systems are rapidly being adopted by large companies.
The agreement enables the School to develop courses and conduct research based on SAP's
ERP systems.
