Research

Good management combines broad theoretical knowledge with practical experience. At the School of Management, we encourage research that involves working with industry partners to solve real-world problems.

Our staff and students conduct research projects in a range of management areas. Their work is regularly published online in our working papers series, and we are engaged in two major projects focused on community governance and international civil society.

Through research and consultancy, we are working in partnership with clients to improve organisations' productivity and the quality of employees’ working lives. Staff and postgraduate students are conducting research projects in many areas, including:

  • workplace dispute resolution;
  • organisational change and organisational learning;
  • innovation;
  • supply chain management;
  • industrial relation and human resource management;
  • clusters and strategic alliances;
  • public sector management.
If you would like to discuss a collaboration, please contact our research coordinator.
