The Faculty's admission criteria take into account of a wide range of circumstances.
Applicants can range from local and overseas residents, to undergraduate and postgraduate students, those straight from school, and people returning to higher education after many years. This means admission criteria may vary according to the circumstances of each student, for example, in awarding credits for recognition of prior learning (RPL).
What are the prerequisite VCE subjects for Business and Law programs?
English is the only compulsory subject for VCE students applying for a program at the Faculty of Business and Law. TAFE students are assessed on their TAFE results. Alternative category entrants are assessed on a range of criteria and prospective applicants should speak to the Faculty executive officer on (03) 9919 4471 before applying.
How are courses structured?
Undergraduates must complete 24 subjects comprising:
- eight compulsory core subjects, common across all programs
- six specialist subjects particular to one discipline, such as accounting
- two support subjects complementing the specialist area of study
- eight elective subjects
What do courses cost?
Fees vary according to the course and may include a General Services Fee and a Building Levy, in addition to HECS and TAFE tuition fees. Details may change from year to year and inquiries can be made to
