Student Life

Victoria University has a vibrant and cosmopolitan student community that enjoys excellent facilities and caring staff.

The University has 11 campuses in strategic locations from the heart of the city to Melbourne's western region. Each campus has state-of-the-art research and computer laboratories, online library services, bookshops and cafes. There are new lecture theatres and performance studios and the Footscray campus has a new swimming pool.

Getting to class is easy as all campuses are close to public transport. If you are studying late, security services include an evening shuttle bus to carparks and public transport from the Footscray and St Albans campuses.

Student Housing
Need somewhere to live? The University Student Housing Service provides free assistance in locating, securing and maintaining suitable accommodation. You can dial up the Student Housing Database for up-to-date listings of available accommodation . For tenancy advice, as well as general housing information, the housing officer is there to help.

Health Services
At Victoria University, we care about the wellbeing of our students. Free health services are available, as well as student counselling, both financial and personal, and extra support for indigenous students through Moondani Balluk (Indigenous Services).

Childcare
Childcare is available at five university-operated, on-campus centres, and there is also a preschool at the Melton campus. The National Childcare Accreditation Council has assessed all the university centres as providing the highest level of care.
