Student Information
Work Integrated Learning is a workplace-based learning experience that combines professional workplace activities with an online curriculum designed to develop and enhance every student's employability and Core Graduate Attributes. This real-world experience gives students an advantage when competing in a highly competitive graduate employment marketplace. It produces more mature and focused graduates who possess the skills necessary to immediately play a productive role in any organisation. Students can work in companies such as ANZ, Coles Myer, KPMG and IBM Consulting or even outside Australia with companies such as Britannia Hotels, UK (Hospitality) and Qantas Airways at Los Angeles International Airport (Tourism Management). WIL subjects include Co-operative Education 1 and 2, which require students to work full-time in the relevant industry/profession each academic semester while completing their online curriculum. Students can undertake these two Co-op subjects sequentially over two semesters. Alternatively, students can choose to do the work or project-based Business Integrated Learning and Professional Legal Practice subjects, which each permit casual or voluntary employment or workplace projects to be completed for credit in the respective discipline/profession, in one semester.
